Recent news impact

Recent policy confirmations indicate continued restriction of access to asylum procedures at the Poland–Belarus border via successive extensions of a temporary territorial suspension/restriction. This likely worsens near-term relocation/integration outlook for new arrivals by increasing uncertainty around legal access and procedural entry points.

• Border Restriction

Poland extended the temporary and territorial suspension of the right to apply for international protection at the Poland–Belarus border by a further 60 days, maintaining a restricted legal pathway for arrivals through this segment.
